Male rats were randomly divided into two groups: hCG (50 mg/kg) and clomiphene citrate (500 mg/kg) groups. HCG (50 mg/kg) and clomiphene citrate (500 mg/kg) groups were administered intraperitoneally (i.p.) for 5 days with an intraperitoneal injection of hCG (50 mg/kg) at various time points. The rats were divided into two groups, hCG-clomiphene citrate and hCG-clomiphene citrate + clomiphene citrate. The groups were treated with hCG (50 mg/kg) and hCG-clomiphene citrate (500 mg/kg) for 5 days, and the rats were injected i.p. for 5 days. The rats in the hCG-clomiphene citrate group were treated with hCG (50 mg/kg) for 5 days. The rats in the hCG-clomiphene citrate group were treated with clomiphene citrate (500 mg/kg) for 5 days and the rats in the hCG-clomiphene citrate + clomiphene citrate + clomiphene citrate group were treated with clomiphene citrate (500 mg/kg) for 5 days. The number of mature eggs of the hCG-clomiphene citrate group and hCG-clomiphene citrate + clomiphene citrate + clomiphene citrate + clomiphene citrate + clomiphene citrate + clomiphene citrate + clomiphene citrate + clomiphene citrate + clomiphene citrate + clomiphene citrate + hCG group were compared with the hCG group. The statistical analysis was carried out by one-way ANOVA, and the data were expressed as mean ± standard deviation. The statistical analysis was performed by SPSS version 20.0.
